Debtors Clerk/Cashier

SUMMARY:
My client, a leading distributor of a wide range electronic security equipment is searching for a young dynamic individual that has the ability to deal with the full debtors function as well as daily cashier duties. Only bilingual candidates would be considered due to their client base (Afrikaans and English).

POSITION INFO:

Education:
·         Completed matric
·         Diploma/ certificate in Bookkeeping will be advantageous
 
Requirements:
·         2 – 3 years previous experience within a similar role
·         Strong knowledge of MS Excel
·         Patel experience would be advantageous
·         Must be bilingual (Afrikaans and English speaking and writing)
 
Job Responsibilities:

• The positions entail phoning for outstanding money on the debtors age analysis and allocating payments as per remittance on Pastel.
• Cashier duties - daily Point of sale card payments and Cashbook processing on Pastel.
• Handling a petty cash with a float of R1000.
• Generating Invoices and Credit notes on Pastel & recording on Excel sheet.
• Assisting with Credit Guarantee 30-day Account customer applications.
• Ad hoc Administration duties – relieving the receptionist on occasion during the day and ordering stationery.
