POSITION INFO:

SA’s leading Property Investments company is currently looking to employ a Debtors Clerk to join their team! Should you meet all the requirements, then this opportunity is for you! 

• Matric
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position, and currently in the position of Debtor’s Clerk
• Between 24 – 34 years old
• Attention to detail
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Computer literate (MS Office, Xero, NetCash)
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Excellent customer service
• Ability to prioritize
• Ability to perform without constant supervision
• Can do attitude
• Self-motivated
• Ability to perform under pressure
• Good negotiation and persuasion skills
• Planning, coordinating and prioritizing
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle

The successful candidate will take responsibility of the full debtor’s function of the group, including but not limited to:

• Processing of invoices and credit notes in Xero accounting system for various companies
• Following up on outstanding debtors
• Allocation of payments received
• Maintenance of debit orders on Netcash
• Following up on missed debit orders
• Ensuring that debtor balances are always up to date
• Monthly debtor reconciliations
• Monitor slow moving accounts to identify delinquent debts and take necessary action to recover the debts
• Maintain security and confidentiality of company and customer information
