SUMMARY:
Southern Oil Pty Ltd, an established company and market leader in manufacturing Canola oil and related products in the retail, food services, and bulk sectors, has the following exciting career opportunity in Swellendam or Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Short Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is allocating debtors’ payments, resolving customer queries, and collecting overdue monies.
Also, the key to the role is the initiation and facilitation of new customer account applications.

Responsibilities:

• Debtors and Accounts Receivable Collections
  • Ensure effective debtors and accounts receivable collections.
  • Ensure the accuracy of Cash Age Analysis and effective reconciliations.
• Credit Application Process
  • Assist with the opening of new accounts and volumes.
  • Ensure to communicate with Representatives and the customers.
• Monthly Processing
  • Accurately process documents within the agreed monthly schedule.
  • Must conduct daily and weekly processing.
  • Assist with ad hoc invoicing and issuing of credit notes.
  • Must capture and allocate receipts to invoices.
  • Must send invoices and statements to customers.
  • Must conduct reconciliation of accounts.
  • Assist with debt collection.
  • Assist customers in resolving queries.
• Maintain Customer Masterfile
  • Maintain master data continuously on SAP and the Price Control System (PCS)
• Yearly Audit
  • Assist Auditors as and when required.

Key Competencies:

Education and Experience

• Diploma in Credit Management
• At least two years experience in Credit Control
• Excellent computer skills are essential

Interpersonal Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong administration and problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal and networking skills
