Debtors Clerk

SUMMARY:
Debtors Controller needed for Transport Solutions Company based in Benoni. Bachelor’s Degree in finance, Diploma in finance or studying towards a Finance degree is a non-negotiable. This individual will be expected to manage the full Debtors function and collection of outstanding revenues for all categories of customers. Ensure cash flow is maximised by proactively managing overdue debt.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12
• Bachelors Degree (3 years) in Accounting, or a finance related field/studying towards.
• Minimum three  years’ experience  in a Finance Accounting environment, managing debtors and exposure to sales invoicing.
• Automate/Evolve experience advantageous

• Manage the full Debtors function and collection of outstanding revenues for all categories of customers. Ensure cash flow is maximised by proactively managing overdue debt.
• Collection and maintenance of all debtor revenue accounts. (i.e., Truck sales, Workshop sales, parts sales to retailers and dealers, repairs and maintenance, billing, and cash accounts)
• Update debtor’s accounts on a daily basis.
• Monthly printing and sending of debtor statements.
• Weekly confirmation of aged debtors
• Accurately prepare for the debtors age analysis meetings with Finance Management and communicate confirmed feedback / areas for Management intervention on Debtor age analysis after actions were initiated in recovering the overdue debt. 
• Open and maintain debtor’s accounts with proper authorization, including credit vetting.
• Invoicing staff within Transport Solutions for credit application approvals, credit limit increases, debtor account opening and closing of accounts.
• Written backup stored electronically on the Finance folder for all unallocated items older than 30 - 60 days.
• Filing and maintaining of all related documentation in hardcopy or electronic information as required, in a neat alphabetical order, logical order for easy retrieval and attending to operational queries on Debtors.
