Debtors Clerk

SUMMARY:
A market leader in design and supply of airconditioning and ventilation systems is looking for your 5+years experience as a DEBTORS CLERK to come join them.

POSITION INFO:

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:  PERMANENT

SECTOR:                      MANUFACTURING

START DATE:                IMMEDIATE / A.S.A.P

DUTIES:

• Liaise with customers in a respectful and professional manner to recoup outstanding payments
• Post customer payments by recording cash and eft payments
• Maintain historical records by filing documentation
• Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, customer service departments and customer
• Resolve valid or authorized refunds by entering adjusting entries by means of a credit note
• Resolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line, as well as monitoring the customer age analysis
• Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; matching payment to actual invoice or record as a deposit
• Manage and submit project claim submissions timeously
• Protect organization''s value by keeping information confidential
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed

REQUIREMENT:

• Tertiary Education
• 5 years relevant debtors’ experience in similar role  - construction type business
• Computer literacy – MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Pastel Partner (non negotiable)
• Ability to work independently and under pressure, with high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Adhere to strict deadlines
