Debt Counsellor on Record - Randburg - up to R27k + benefits

POSITION INFO:

RS Recruitment Services is assisting  with the recruitment of a DEBT COUNSELLOR ON RECORD for a JSE listed organisation in the DEBT REVIEW INDUSTRY to be based in their offices in Randburg. Up to R27 000 + medical aid & provident fund.

 

Overall Purpose of the Position of DEBT COUNSELLOR ON RECORD:

 

To liaise with creditors on behalf of clients, give legal advice and support clients with court proceedings. Give emotional support to clients who are stressed or anxious about their financial situation.

 

The ideal candidate should be/have the following:

 

• About 7 - 10 years’ experience in the debt review industry as a DEBT COUNSELLOR ON RECORD.
• Matric.
• A law qualification, an advantage.
• Any previous banking experience would be beneficial
• Experience in appearing in magistrate courts (admitted attorney)
• Passed the DC (debt councillors) exam, essential.
• Registered with the NCR (National Credit Regulator), essential.
• Experience in debt review processes.
• Experience in negotiating with credit providers, consumers, corresponding attorneys and opposing attorneys.
• Experience on utilizing a debt counselling system (Maximus-advantageous) and court applications.
• Clear criminal and credit records

 

Remuneration:

 

Up to R27 000 + medical aid & provident fund.
