Our global client, in the information technology industry, is looking for a Debt Collections Agent to join their team. This role is remote and you would be dealing with clients abroad so you would need to ensure you have a well established home set up with good wifi.Â
Roles and Responsibilities
The Debt Collection Agent will work with the UK customer base to collect on their overdue bills and ensure timely payment. Your duties will include managing customer account balances and debt, aiming to reduce overall debt across the group. Proven track record required of business-to-business debt collection. Whilst this is a stand-alone function, you will be working in a fast-paced environment alongside team-oriented colleagues.

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage delinquent accounts for debt collection
- Keeping track of account balances
- Plan a course of action to recover debts, particularly aged debt
- Negotiate payment deadlines, payment plans and penalties
- Handle debt related queries and complaints
- Identify gaps and recommend solutions and continual improvements.
- Building trust with debtors
- Day-to-day related administration on finance system, primarily Netsuite
- Complying with legislative and contractual requirements when legal action is unavoidable
- Managing debt collection whilst maintaining positive relationships with senior client-side stakeholders

- Great negotiation and persuasion skills
- Well-developed patience and diligence whilst maintaining a firm stance
