POSITION INFO:
PostgreSQL DBA required for a company in Liverpool city centre with remote working on offer!
This company are a well-known UK organisation who want to create an enjoyable working environment for their staff.
There''s a push at the moment to move from the company''s legacy stack to something a bit more modern. The main responsibility of the DBA team is to ensure database services are delivered efficiently for all office locations around the UK and European countries, including high availability, disaster recovery configurations and architecture.
Day to day you will be focusing mainly solving and troubleshooting complex problems, and the communicating resolutions back to both technical and non-technical staff in a manor that''s easier to understand.
You will have most of the following skills/experience:
- Experience with PostgreSQL (with familiarity with pooling and load-balancing)
- Knowledge in optimized stored procedures, triggers and user defined functions to increase performance
- Extensive use of Microsoft SQL Server
- An understanding of Database Administration, Backup and Security
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The company are based in Liverpool but can offer remote working for someone with the right skills.
The salary on offer is up to £48,000
