Database Administrator

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to -:

 Proactively manage and maintain the performance, integrity and security of databases required for the optimal functioning of the organization.

The responsibilities and work outputs are:

• Knowledge of the full Software Development Lifecycle
• Understanding of structured query language (SQL)
• General understanding of storage technologies and networking
• Good working knowledge of IT security best practice and standards
• Knowledge of Linux, DB2 and Postgres

Education:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
• Database technology certification

Experience:

• 2-4 years'' relevant IT experience
