SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to assist in building and delivering the AI strategy to ensure they are able to compete in a fast changing landscape. Data science will be a key strategic differentiator in the future. As a Data scientist, you will help automate and improve processes, create new products and services and assist with improved decision making based on data.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role Overview:

Stakeholder Engagement and Expectation Management
Data wrangling and data preparation
Analysis, reporting, data visualisation and communicating results
Statistical Model building and Machine Learning model building
Model monitoring and building
Change Management
Data ethics, governance, and privacy
Leading teams
Conduct Research
Treating Customers Fairly and Compliance
Management of Resources

Minimum Requirements:

2 years’ + experience in data science and/or analytics financial role.
Degree or relevant qualification with quantitative subjects or relevant professional certification
Honours Degree in Data Science or AI or Computer Science or Econometrics or Engineering or Statistics or Actuarial Science or similar or relevant professional certification

Computer programming (and ability to learn relevant computer languages quickly) & Data-driven
Data visualisation skills
Facilitation Skills
Financial Modelling skills
Integrate data science models and financial models
Leading a small team or taking a leading role in certain projects
Machine Learning & Mathematical modeling
Python and/or R or similar
Report writing skills
SQL Skills
Statistics and mathematics
Strong Analytical and Statistical skills
Structured and unstructured data
Understanding and knowledge of Business policies and procedures. Legislation
