POSITION INFO:

A leader in the auditing industry is looking for a Data Scientist to join their team.  This role will focus on decision science and decision modelling to help business stakeholders determine how to use gathered data to best achieve the organisation’s goals. The role will be focused on providing in-depth insights and inform the strategic decision-making of our clients. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, have a strong grasp on the use of statistics, know how to solve problems and have a good understanding of mathematical optimization.  The role will include duties such as:

• Creating algorithms and predictive models
• Data wrangling, data visualization, machine learning modelling and programming
• Help business stakeholders determine how to use this data to best achieve the organisation’s goals
• Collecting data, sorting and cleaning data and ensuring that the data, is the right data for large business decisions to be based upon
• Application of analytics, operational research and modelling techniques

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications & Experience

• A bachelor''s degree (or higher) in statistics, applied mathematics, data science, engineering, operational research, computer science / software engineering or similar
• Experience in the use of programming packages for data science (e.g., Python, R, SAS, SPSS)
• Experience with data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Experience in the use of simulation modelling tools (e.g., AnyLogic, Arena, WITNESS, Extendsim, FlexSim, Simul8 etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA and database / data handling environments
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc.)
