POSITION INFO:

Financial Services Department– Procurement Section

The scope will include but will not be limited to:

• Development and testing of supervisory technological and regulatory technological tools to be used for risk based supervision of the regulated stakeholders (i.e. authorised dealers, etc.) utilising quantitative and qualitative cross-border data including other information, respectively. 
• Build risk tools that optimize risk based supervision and enterprise risk management working with risk analysts in creating risk profiles for various stakeholders using cross-border data, scaling risk decisions and automation of strategic and operational risk matrices/indicators for strategic and operational risk assessment.
• Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining quantitative models or analytical tools and performing analyses for risk management (key risk types in a forex market environment or forex cross-border transactions) SARB Procure to Pay Professional Services Version 4 21 November 2019 © Copyright 2016 SARB 
• Design and implement methods to gather, analyze and continually assess risk using structured and unstructured cross-border data with the objective of helping FinSurv divisions to mitigate and identity risks in the risk based supervisory space. 
• Analysis of online/offline transactional data to help in the identification of expected risks, provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders, look for interesting patterns, trends, etc. to identify possible exceptions or unexpected transactional behaviours 
• Work directly with risk management unit to provide analytical support, risk data analysis, quantitative, statistical analysis including risk data aggregation as well implementation of best practices. 
• Maintain positive risk management environment though detailed analysis of potentially large data sets over lifecycle of risk based supervisory project 
• Prepare/provide input on risk reports and presentations 
• Research and provide alternative approaches to supervisory tools for effective risk management 
• Develop data visualization and summarization techniques to convey key findings in dashboards and presentations to senior management. 
• Remain on the leading edge of analytical technology with a passion for the newest and most innovative tools. 
• Develop and maintain high quality and transparent documentation. 
• Understand relevant business processes and portfolios associated with the models or analytical tools use. 
• Maintain the efficiency and accuracy of the developed models or analytical tools through continuous improvement and application of best practices.
