Data Engineer (ESG Specialist)– Johannesburg – R350k to R550k per annum

POSITION INFO:

A global organization of independent professional services firms providing Audit, Tax and Advisory services, helping clients navigate complex strategic challenges using cutting-edge technologies such as AI, IoT, robotics, and advanced analytics seek a Data Engineer (ESG Specialist) with fresh perspectives to drive innovation and efficiency in client operations.

Responsibilities:

Design data across the full range from fast/clean ETL streams through to automation.
Ability to use big data technologies
Ability to use ESG framework to assess an organization''s business practices and performance on various sustainability and ethical issues.
Utilise ESG frameworks to measure business risks and opportunities.
Identifying key performance improvement opportunities.
Creation of data validation models and ensuring data quality.
Working with clients and other team members to identify key data requirements.
Writing appropriate algorithms to interpret and serve the relevant data.
Build robust data solutions.
An ambition to design data-driven applications with an ability to assess trade-offs in architectural decisions.

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree or National Diploma
Associate level MS Certifications
2 to 5 years’ experience
Experience in ESG frameworks
An ambition to design data-driven applications with an ability to assess trade-offs in architectural decisions
Fluency in reasoning about relational and non-relational databases
Advanced knowledge of
- SQL, PL\SQL
- Python
- R
- MS Azure
