Data Engineer role - Cardiff
A Data Engineer is needed to join a well-known organisation in Cardiff as they continue to grow their data capabilities to support their customers.
The role:
You''ll be joining a multi-disciplined team where you will contribute to some of the most innovative projects in the company''s history. They''re looking to change the way they process and store their data by migrating it from on premise into the cloud, and you''ll be building the pipelines so it can land into GCP.
You''ll flourish within an agile scrum environment and work closely alongside business stakeholders, aiming to deliver data solutions that can draw insights for business problems. This role gives someone who is confident in coding to increase their skills exponentially as you''ll work with some exciting tech.

The Cardiff based company are one of the biggest in the UK with data at the heart of everything they do, as they use it to make key strategic decisions. As it''s importance increases, the data squads are looking to bring engineers that aren''t afraid to get their hands dirty.
Requirements:
To do this role you''ll need to know how to build data pipelines so being competent in Python and SQL is really important, and you''ll need an understanding of ETL processes, BI visualisation tools and working knowledge of the cloud - they''re using GCP but if you have an understanding of any cloud then it''s a bonus!
