Data Engineer - Manchester city centre
A Data Engineer is needed to join a cutting-edge company based in Manchester with some great ambition over the coming years.
The Role:
You''ll join an agile data team, where you''ll work alongside other Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and DevOps Engineers to provide insights that will delight clients by aiding them in making strategic business decisions.
The company have been grown rapidly in the last few years with data at the heart of everything, and are looking for someone with a passion for analytics to make a big impact on their projects.
The role is perfect for someone who enjoys working collaboratively as well as individually. You''ll help the customer extract their data and get involved in more aspects of output and integration of the customer landscape.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering data to the staging location, prepared for the Data Scientists.
- You''ll build data pipelines using the company''s internal systems and tools for data ingestion.
- Deliver on proposed solutions after understanding the customer landscape.
- Working alongside the customer facing team and the clients to pinpoint the most accurate method of data integration.
- Collaborating with DevOps Engineers to mitigate any issues with the quality of the data.
Requirements
- A solid understanding of data integration, data migration, and data warehousing.
- Experience in using ETL tools where you''ll know how to transfer data with databases such as SQL.
- A background in creating API''s and using ReSTful practices.
- Capable of programming needed for building data pipelines (ideally Python).
- Ability to face customers and articulate problems clearly and concisely.
- A knowledge of cloud technologies would also be advantageous.
