Data Capturer (Wits IL TB Research Unit)

Main purpose of the job:

• To accurately enter study data and maintain documentation as per the standard operating procedures

Location:

• Jose Pearson TB Hospital, Gqebera (Port Elizabeth)

Key performance areas:

• Accurate entry of survey/study data in a timely manner
• Prepare and maintain documentation as per standard operating procedures
• Participate in ongoing Data Management training
• Maintain safe and storage of all electronic data and case report forms
• Maintain participant confidentiality and security of study data

Required minimum education and training:

• Grade 12
• Computer Literate with knowledge of data entry systems
• Competent in MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certificate

Required minimum work experience:

• Minimum 1 years of work experience in a Research Environment/Office Administration/Data Capturing

Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:

• Must possess strong organizational skills
• Must be detail orientated
• Must be able to work as a member of a team
• It is expected that s/he will apply consistent adherence to intentional research and GCP practices
