JOB DESCRIPTION:

Description:

To provide expertise and support through translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions by analysing data, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending improvements to data quality, access, and management. Using a combination of analytical expertise and business acumen the incumbent will extract reporting requirements from business and deliver on this.
 
Education and Skills:

  • Minimum Qualification: Relevant BSc or BCom degree.
  • Preferred Qualification: Honours degree with focus in Information Management Dama Certification.
  • Minimum Experience: 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Data problem solving
  • Data profiling of data sets
  • Ability to quantify impact of data issues to business users
  • MS-SQL skills -(write complex queries and scripts)
  • MS Excel skills for Data Analysis & Classification (PIvot Tables, Vlookups)
  • Documenting of Business Requirements
  • Documenting of Technical Solution
  • Writing of Test Strategy & Test plan to verify solution implemented correctly
  • Execution of test plan and recording of results
  • Prior experience with Data Quality Management & Data Cleansing
  • Prior experience with Master Data Management
  • Ability to learn technical software (we use Informatica, Ab Initio, Kafka, Control M)
  • Ability to work alone and unguided and propose solutions to data problems
