Data Analyst
Data Analyst required for a small, forward thinking and ambitious Data Consultancy headquartered in Edinburgh but with a presence throughout the UK and indeed further afield.
Your new role
As a Data Analyst, you will be involved in a whole plethora of projects from short proof of concepts to innovative and complex builds and on-going, long term work where you are closely integrated with the internal team.
Don''t worry, this isn''t another ''body shop'' where you just get sent to a client site for 5 days of the week and nobody really knows why you are there. They work closely with all of their clients, sometimes as the only data experts in the company, other times working closely with the internal team.
From a technical point of view, you will be able to really have an impact and learn new things from the get-go. Because they are a smaller firm, there is no 12-week training programme or theoretical learning, you will work closely with your colleagues to deliver real world solutions from day one.
You''ll be using a whole host of skills, but for simplicity''s sake, you''ll need to be comfortable with Python and SQL from a language point of view.
In an ideal world you''ll have a solid understanding of cloud technologies, probably GCP or AWS, but hey, we''re not going to discriminate against Azure.
Finally, if you have some experience of data viz tools like Power BI or Tableau, great! If not, they mostly using it for pretty simple stuff, so can teach you this.
It goes without saying, this is a customer facing role, so you''ll need to be comfortable speaking to technical and non-technical people alike.

The interview process is relatively simple with a brief call with the Head of Data, a brief technical challenge which you''ll then present and a final chat with the MD.
Salary wise, we''re open for the right person, but roughly speaking £35,000 to £55,000 but they are more interested in getting the right person, so I''d love to speak to you even if you''re slightly under or over this.
