POSITION INFO:

Data Analyst with a strong background in SQL and PowerBI/Sisense is required for an expanding software company based from Glasgow, with remote working options.

The Company:

They are a Glasgow based software company, operating for over 20 years. They develop SaaS Cloud solutions and have customers worldwide, with a current emphasis on growth and recruitment. Even through Covid-19, they have continued to grow the team and expand and are still doing so - it''s a real focus.

Their product is a large-scale data platform used to improve medium to large scale company''s business processes and ultimately helping to provide accountability. Their platform is now used worldwide with customers in the UK, US and Asia.

The reason for the growth is two-fold. Firstly, they have secured substantial investment amidst new client wins. Secondly, they are re-writing their award-winning platform and require an Architect to help with this transition and to continue on the already high standards. The Architect is not the only current hire they are looking for, with two Senior Developers and a Senior Front-End Engineer a focus of theirs. This is in addition to the 35 staff already in the Product Development function.

They are a flexible and remote-first organisation, with a hub in Glasgow and another down south. You have the option to work remotely the majority of the time, with it required to be in the office for meetings roughly every 2 months. Of course, if you prefer to be in the office, there is that option too (when allowed).

The role:

Being the first Data Analyst entering into the team you will initially be focussing solely on trying to add real value to the business through the use of Data. Whether this is through looking at existing products, potential for future products or overall across the business, seeking out inefficiencies, this role will be crucial to keep the company moving in the right direction.

You''ll be working across multiple cross-functional and Agile teams and primarily working on AWS, as well as the latest tools and technologies. You''ll be involved in the full product lifecycle, from generating ideas to technical design to deployment. The role initially won''t hold line-management responsibilities; however, this may come a little later down the line as the team grows out.

Ideal background would be:

** Setting up and maintaining automated data processes

** Pulling data from an array of different sources, analysing, interpreting and visualising your findings

** Communicating with multiple internal and external stakeholders drawing key insights into products and the general business

** Set-up metrics and analyse ways to enhance operational efficiency

Technologies used across teams:

** SQL, Graphql, API

** Cloud Services (AWS or Azure)

** PowerBI/Sisense/Tableau

**Python/R

This is an opportunity to join an already established, and growing software house working on the latest tech. They''re actively looking to harness the power of data to help drive the business forward and push into new fields.

If you are interested in this role, please apply or give Tom a call for a chat about your options.
