Dairy Farm Manager
Reproductive Management

• Implementing mating program and AI cows
• Arrange and attending pregnancy checks
• Implementing dry off program
• Completing postpartum health check of fresh cows and administer treatments when is needed
• Recording important breeding information and evaluate reproductive records

• Conducting weekly pasture walk and formulate weekly feeding with Managing Director
• Monitoring the feeding program and ensure cows always have sufficient feed and quality water
• Inspect feed stores to ensure quality and quantities

• Follow standard operating procedures for milking
• Supervising and training staff
• Ensure safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals
• Conduct stock checks of parlour supplies and order accordingly
• Arrange and conduct monthly milk recordings
• Use milk tests on freshly calved cows to check milk for antibiotics
• Maintain milk parlour and arrange services

• Completing the documentation; dairy diary, sick sheets, AI sheets, dry off sheets, calving sheets ,coppen test sheets and inventory sheets for mads and feed
• Maintain dairy management computer program and analyse data for information to support decision making

• Ensuring the solar system is running smoothly and is maintained and repaired
• Ensure all equipment is well maintained and in good working order
• Checking pivots daily ensuring all in good working order
• Burning Fire breaks
