The main purpose of this position is Driving DTHF field staff daily to pre- arranged fieldwork sites. Oversee arrival and departure procedures, pack and unpack research equipment and materials.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of a Grade 10
• At least 1-2 years’ experience as a driver
• Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with PDP
• Experience to manage routine maintenance on small/ medium commercial vehicles
• Proven client focus and orientation
• Maintain strict client confidentiality
• MS office proficiency
• Ability to function in a team
• No traffic violations or offences
• Diligent attention to safety
• Good time management
• Interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel and work irregular hours, including weekends

Advantageous:

• Valid Code 14 driver’s license
• Dangerous good certificate
• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certificate
• Human Subject Protection (HSP) Certificate

Responsibilities:

• Supporting field teams in implementing field-based study activities.
• To drive safely and carefully to and from destinations of fieldwork.
• Completing and maintaining up-to-date of car logs and car maintenance checklists.
• Logistical planning to ensure project vehicles undergo routine and annual services
• File all documents in the respective files.
• Verbally report on activities at routine study meetings
• To maintain well equipped, clean and safe vehicles and report any incidents immediately Respectful communication with the study participants, partners and management team
• Communicates with relevant staff regularly to discuss implementation barriers and challenges.
• To aide with community relationships, including relationships with clinics, ward councillors, committee members.
