DIESEL MECHANIC/EAST LONDON – To perform effective planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance
Minimum Requirements
Matric/N3/Standard 10
Min. 3 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic
Red seal Trade Diesel Mechanic''s Certificate (Advantageous)
Must be able to read drawings
Responsibilities include
Pre-Checking and Inspection of vehicles before they go on their daily runs
Diagnosis and ordering of spares with the Workshop Spares Clerk
Pre-check if the correct spares have been ordered
Workshop Repairs and Maintenance
Attending breakdowns
Preparing vehicles for roadworthiness and taking it to the testing station for road worthy
Dismantle and re-assemble after diagnosis and ordering of correct spares
Do road testing of vehicles before given to the driver
Take fully responsibility of services vehicles according
Fully understanding the type of vehicles being worked on
Salary: Market related
