DIESEL MECHANIC/ TECHNICIAN.

SUMMARY:
Our Client, based in Worcester, is a top-tier company that designs, manufactures and sells agricultural equipment nationally and internationally. They have a vacancy for a qualified DIESEL MECHANIC/ TECHNICIAN.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Inspect, test, and listen to defective engines/parts to diagnose malfunctions of equipment / machinery
• Repair the fault using existing parts where possible
• Replace broken parts with new and reconditioned parts
• Retest machinery to ensure problem has been repaired
• Keep accurate records of faults identified and repairs done to machinery
• Maintain records of all parts used for invoicing purposes
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery according to the relevant standard operating procedure
• Perform routine maintenance
• Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices
• Identify any mechanical problems and obtain authorization to carry out the necessary repairs
• Note wear patterns and make maintenance recommendations
• Keep accurate and detailed records of preventative maintenance checks and repairs completed
• Ensure all work is carried according to company standards
• Ensure vehicle/equipment safety procedures are followed
• Maintain equipment, protective clothing and work areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition

• Matriculation
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic
• Driving license
