POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced DEBTORS CONTROLLER for a well-established concern, position based in Pietermaritzburg.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Valid Code 08 driver’s license / own reliable transport.

English / Afrikaans speaking person (must be able to read / write / speak English competently).

Relevant qualifications / courses completed an added advantage.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Oracle experience would be an added advantage.

Previous working experience on the Syspro package is essential.

Checking customers’ credit ratings before opening an account for a customer.

Timely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments.

Maintaining contact with external (customers and depots) and internal (finance, dispatch and sales) to ensure invoices are clear for payment.

Resolving queries both internally (finance, dispatch and sales) and externally (customers and depots) around outstanding invoices, claims processing, age analysis and follow-up.

Posting and allocating daily receipts to Syspro. Posting and emailing debtors statements monthly.

Posting breakdown of journals to debtors’ deductions.

Providing accounts information to management.

Uploading invoices and statements onto portals.

Downloading invoices, remittances and claims.
