SUMMARY:
Recruitment Officer
Our client is a rapidly growing Supermarket chain operating in all provinces throughout South Africa. Owing to their growth, they are looking for two DC Recruitment Officers, one for their 
Polokwane DC and the other for their East London DC.

POSITION INFO:
Monitor current hourly/monthly staff structures to ensure agreed structure is maintained
Engage with the DC HR Officer in respect of terminations and resignations to ensure replacements 
are sourced and placed timeously
Engage with the DC HR Officer in respect of absenteeism trends to ensure 90-hour staff cover for 
this
Engage with DC Senior Managers to ensure sufficient staff in place for anticipated peak periods
Report to management on status of current DC labour, backup polls and pipeline.
Engage with surrounding stores to ensure constant quality candidates are sourced to
ensure adequate pipeline is maintained.
Place adverts on social media / internet to ensure constant quality candidates are
sourced to ensure adequate pipeline is maintained.
Recruitment of staff in accordance with Company Policy
Ensure all candidates complete the pre interview questionnaire
Interview all qualifying candidates
Ensure all minimum requirements are met by short listed candidates.
Ensure all minimum vetting is done on all selected candidates
Ensure HR files are opened and maintained on all candidates selected to work at Boxer on the back 
up pool or as pipeline candidates, and once these candidates are employed
Engage with community leaders to ensure constant quality candidates are sourced to ensure 
adequate pipeline is maintained.
Identify the community leaders and engage with them, building a strong working relationship
Ensure you are up to date with all the DC HR Officers functions and responsibilities as per company 
policies and procedures, to provide back up and succession.
Ensure training is conducted on OHS Induction and all work-related SOP’s
Education and Experience
Matric is essential
HR Diploma /Degree will be advantageous
A minimum of 5 years of experience, within a Labour Broker environment specializing in sourcing, vetting, and recruiting of staff is necessary
Ability to communicate in Zulu/Xhosa/Sepedi/etc. is essential
Must have knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act
