Cybersecurity Analyst required for one of the leading charities in Scotland, based in Edinburgh.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Cybersecurity Analyst required for a charity based in Edinburgh.

They are one of the largest organisations in Scotland for a brilliant cause. Originally, they outsourced their Cybersecurity and are now looking to bring it in house. They have gone through a lot of changes within the last few years, with lots of different projects to get involved in; with all these changes, they need to ensure all data is secure.

You will be the first Cybersecurity analyst within the team, working closely with the infrastructure engineers investigating security alerts and providing incident response support. You will take ownership of all the security systems and processes, upgrading them or designing new ones and test and evaluate all products. You will evaluate security threats and ways to manage them, monitor attacks or any unusual activity and monitor abuse of permissions by authorised system users and monitor and respond to phishing emails and pharming activity. You will be a motivated individual who is passionate about Cybersecurity with proven experience within a similar role.

You will have the following Skills/Experience -

** Knowledge and experience with Ethical Hacking

** Strong knowledge of security processes and procedures and processing documentation

** Hands on experience with SaaS based platforms and cloud - Azure, AWS, GCP

** Demonstrable experience working within an agile environment

** Experience within a Microsoft environment - O365, Dynamics

** Familiar with GDPR data protection and regulations

** IT qualifications - SSCP, CCP (desirable, not essential)

** Strong communication skills, written and verbal and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical team members
