Customs GTS Operations Consultant

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking a Customs GTS Operations Consultant.

POSITION INFO:

Role tasks

• Action and resolve IM (Incident Management) tickets (2nd or 3rd level) within agreed service level targets
• Action and resolve CIM (Critical Incident Management) tickets as required
• Raise and lead tasks PM (Problem Management) tickets as identified
• Action and coordinate CM (Change Management) tasks and tickets as required
• Assist user departments in drafting system requirement documentation based on business processes
• Perform daily system handover, monitoring and start-up tasks to ensure operational readiness of systems
• Ensure that all processes have been investigated / considered in obtaining the specifications of the user requirements
• Propose and review system design and evaluate alternatives
• Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements
• Management of planned system downtimes (some weekends)
• Standby on rotational basis (24/7)
• Shift work on a rotational basis (including ZA public holidays)

Specific Technical / Functional skills      

• SAP GTS (advantageous)
• SAP MM and or SAP SD
• Application of knowledge in SAP functions
• Customs process knowledge (advantageous)
• Debugging (ABAP) – advantageous
• Confluence, Jira, ITSM remedy, HP ALM – advantageous

 

Minimum years of experience  

• Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
• ITIL certification (advantageous)
• Minimum of 5+ years IT working experience
• ITIL process knowledge and work experience (Required)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an SAP Operations
• environment

 

Minimum qualification required            

• Relevant IT / Business Degree or equivalent certification
