POSITION INFO:

A well-established logistics company based in Durban is looking for a Senior Customs Entry Clerk to oversee all customs clearance activities at a documentation level within a clearing and forwarding environment. Â

Salary is market related

ResponsibilitiesÂ

• Capturing of customs declarations
• Submitting query documents
• Duty and vat calculation
• Preparing and processing of voucher of correction
• Handling all types of examinations customs/ NRCS & SAPS
• Updating the tariff book and explanatory notes
• Assist with tariffing when required
• Processing of provisional payments and liquidation
• Preparing acquittal documents and submitting to customs
• Reconciling creditors invoices for payment
• Submitting of dA185 application for importers and exporters
• Handling customs refund claims
• Handle destruction of all types of cargo
• Capturing EFT requisition
• Handle queries from clients and third parties
• Applying for import permits
• Liaising with shipping lines/ importers / customs and other government agencies

RequirementsÂ

• Matric
• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport, Customs Clearance certificate
• Entry Clerk experienceÂ
• Advanced knowledge on import activities
• Extensive experience in customs clearingÂ
• Computer literateÂ
