SUMMARY:
Our client Telecoms giant is urgently looking to appoint a Customer Project Manager in Addis Ababa. The Customer Project Manager (CPM) ensures that a Fulfilment Assignment Specification (FAS) including products and/or services is delivered to the satisfaction of the customer.

POSITION INFO:

The successful incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the daily FAS scope, time, and budget, and secures the necessary resources, and plans, and monitors all necessary activities. During the FAS delivery the CPM is the lead person for add on sales opportunity generation. The CPM is responsible to ensure that adequate cost and resource allocation for compliance to Group and local safety requirements are included in the project scope.

Desired Experience and qualifications:

  • Entry level: A first degree or equivalent qualification.
  • CPM competence level depends on Project complexity,
  • The CPM is expected to be assessed on the job stage that she/he holds,
  • Establish project plan baseline.
  • Drive project execution
  • Handle customer & stakeholder engagement
  • Manage project finance.
  • Drive delivery excellence

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish project plan baseline.
  • Drive project Execution.
  • Control cost and monitor, through corresponding delivery unit, progress and quality of subcontractors and 3PPs services.
  • Confirm proposed team member and subcontractor competence in line with project needs and resolve conflicts and issues (team and internal)
  • Handle customer & stakeholder engagement
  • Manage customer and stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensure that relevant Governance meetings take place.
  • Manage project finance.
  • Ensure that project structure in the financial system is in place.
  • Ensure that invoicing to customer is according to plan.
  • Participate in selection of suppliers for project and influence financial terms and conditions with suppliers based on experience.
  • Drive delivery excellence
  • Coach and Mentor less experienced CPM colleagues.
  • Know and deliver value towards customer.
