POSITION INFO:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Creditors / Accounting Clerk to join a busy and professional accounting environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting knowledge, excellent administrative ability, and solid experience working on Pastel and SARS e-Filing.

The successful candidate must be confident working independently, able to manage deadlines, and comfortable communicating with clients regarding basic accounting and tax matters.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional accounting/finance education advantageous)
• Proven experience as a Creditors / Accounting Clerk
• Strong understanding of VAT and PAYE
• Proficient in Pastel Accounting and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent telephone etiquette
• Fully bilingual: Afrikaans and English (read, write, speak)
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Professional, neat, and presentable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Friendly, positive personality
• Able to work well in a team and assist with various tasks when required

Key Responsibilities

• Monthly Pastel processing up to Final Trial Balance
  (opening balances, debtors, creditors, journals, cashbooks, etc.)
• Compilation and review of VAT reports on Excel
• VAT calculations and turnover reconciliations
• SARS submissions via e-Filing
• Reviewing VAT reports and Pastel processing completed by accounting clerks
• Cashbook processing and bank reconciliations
• Invoice processing and reconciliations
• Handling basic client queries related to VAT and submissions

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 17:00
