Creditors Clerk/Data Capturer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Creditors Clerk to join our team on a fixed-term one-month contract within the FMCG sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timeous processing of supplier invoices, reconciliations, and payments, while maintaining professional relationships with vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately capture supplier invoices and credit notes onto the system.
- Prepare and reconcile supplier statements to creditor accounts.
- Resolve supplier queries promptly and professionally.
- Process payment runs in line with company policies and deadlines.
- Ensure all supporting documentation is complete and compliant.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.
- Maintain an organised filing system (both electronic and manual).
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 with Accounting or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Creditors Clerk, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Contract Details:
- Duration: 1 month (fixed term).
- Location: Pietermaritzburg.
- Salary: R15,000.00 per month (non-negotiable).
