Creditors Supervisor

SUMMARY:
Are you ready to take on a new opportunity, giving you responsibility to oversee the creditors function and manage a team? An opportunity waits for an accurate and time driven Creditors Supervisor to run and uphold a high standard of work within the Creditors team.

POSITION INFO:

Ensure payments to suppliers are made on time and according to payment policy

Liaison with internal and external suppliers in a professional manner

Follow up on all creditor enquiries received

Preparation and checking of supplier reconciliations

Follow-up on all outstanding payments

Follow-up on creditor related issues and the tracking thereof

Processing some supplier invoices

Reviewing and preparation of supplier payment batches  

Maintaining creditors files and supporting documentation

Daily / weekly / monthly reporting to management

Debit order reconciliations to supporting documentation

Manage creditors clerks daily

Ensure that on-the-job training is effectively planned and conducted to ensure that sufficient expertise

A proactive approach to recruitment and maintaining a good accounts payable environment

Ensure that the mentorship in the department is effective

Ensure that evaluations are done on a regular basis according to the guidelines of the system

Ensure that steps are taken to develop employees for performance improvement

Skills & Experience:

Experience in supervising creditors clerks

Experience in recruiting

Experience in training creditors clerks

Experience in conducting performance reviews

Pastel Evolution knowledge will be advantageous

High computer literacy (MS Outlook, MS Office, Pastel Evolution)

Qualification:

Minimum of Grade 12

Bookkeeping/Accounting qualification will be advantageous

Tertiary qualification in Finance
