POSITION INFO:

Creditors'''' Manager required to oversee accounts payable function and ensure timeous payments - Parktown based 

1 Oversee the Creditors team (Statement reconciliations and Invoice processing)
2 Manage the creditors statement reconciliation process
3 Facilitate the payment process (creating payment proposals; uploading and coordinating payments)
4 Department reports (Including recon progress; invoice processing; invoice exceptions; filing conformance)
5 Developing and maintaining creditors processes
6 Oversee the Staff Travel and Expenditure process
7 Manage the purchase card process
8 Supporting audit requirements and activities
9 Managing month-end close activities
10 Manage team performance employees with effective corrective actions
11 Responsible for training, coaching, mentoring & development of Creditors Clerks
12 Monitor cost reversals and reasons therefore
13 A signatory bank release
14 Creditors data system housekeeping
15 Ensure costs carried in month incurred and all open PO are processed
16 Report on excessive spend
17 Report on non approved suppliers spend
18 Report on unexpected expenses
19 Follow up on internal audit findings relating to creditors/costs
20 Report on reversed creditor costs and follow up on reasons
21 Maintain bidvest bank card payments and expenses
22 Ensure authority matrix in place for all expenses and abided by
23 Maintain Supplier BEE/ Ownership records
24 Cash outflow recording on ERP system

SUBORDINATE(S): 5 x creditors clerks and 1 x cash clerk

Qualifications and Requirements:

Tertiary Education BCom Degree/National Diploma in Accounting or Finance
Professional Registration/Trade N/A
Secondary Education Grade 12
Licenses Code 08
Experience +8 years full Creditors and Accounting experience
+5 years Managerial experience
Technical/Core Training Sound accounting knowledge
Good planning and organizing skills
Experience with process mapping and process flow diagrams
IT Training (General MS etc.) MS Excel (Formulas; tables, pivots, charts)
MS Outlook (Creating data files, automating rules to manage incoming emails, conditional formatting rules)
