SUMMARY:
Our client, a long established manufacturer in its field, a division of a JSE Listed Group, seeks an experienced individual to accurately process and reconcile all documentation for payments within the business.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

Matric essential
Diploma or Degree in Finance or related qualification advantageous
5 years working experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
Solid bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
Understanding of forex - a definite advantage
Syspro exp preferable

Key Performance Areas:

Responsible for Creditors Payments, invoicing and recording of financial transactions:

Capture and process all invoices
Ensure that all payments that are paid comply with the set standards and contain all the necessary required information
Ensure that claims are paid timeously and correctly

Invoicing of Creditors:

Capture invoices into Syspro from all supporting documentation supplied by the finance division
Ensure that all invoices and supporting documentation is complete and approved
Ensure invoices are accurately captured on Syspro on a daily basis

Administration:

Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerised accounting system;
Maintain the accounts payable systems in order to ensure complete and accurate records and file all documentations
Reconcile and purchase orders to invoices and GRNs

Skills and Competencies:

Able to operate computerised accounting, spreadsheet and word – process programs at a highly proficient level
Have sound organizational and accuracy skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Time management skills and ability to meet all deadlines
Ability to effectively communicate within the team and contribute to the overall success of the team
Adaptable as this is a constantly changing environment
Have sound organisational and accuracy skills
