POSITION INFO:

Our client, a well-established supply chain equipment company in the Northern Suburbs, is seeking to employ a Creditors Clerk.

The overall objective of the Creditors Clerk is to provide bookkeeping and clerical support to all financial functions.

Responsibilities:

• Capturing of supplier invoices on system.
• Create supplier accounts on system.
• Check and reconcile supplier statements.
• Prepare and submit weekly / monthly payments due.
• Prepare and forward remittance advice to suppliers.
• Filling duties.
• Completion of credit applications.
• Sundry reconciliation.
• Address supplier queries.
• Assist Financial Manager with analysis.
• Assist Financial Manager with fixed assets.
• Assist Financial Manager with petty cash processing.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Computer literacy (MS Office and Outlook).
• Advanced studies (Tertiary Diploma / Degree) advantageous.
• Fully bilingual.
• Must be used to high volumes, tight deadlines, and different cost centre accounting.
• Must preferable have previous working experience in the corporate world.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ previous working experience and a solid track record in a similar position (creditors / cashbook).
• Excellent administrative skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High levels of accuracy.
• Able to work well with a team and under pressure.
• Must be diligent and time competent in order to meet deadlines.
• Must be client service focused (internal and external).
• Must be honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
• Must maintain high levels of confidentiality.
• Be willing to work flexible hours.
• Be willing to perform duties on weekends.

Area: Northern suburbs, Cape Town.

Salary package: R17 000 – R18 000 per month (depending on experience).

Starting date: As soon as possible (no later than 1 October 2021).
