Creditors Clerk

SUMMARY:
Creditors Clerk – R12,5k/month – 4 month temp assignment – Epping (CT) – Immediate start – Open to all

POSITION INFO:

Our client in Epping is looking for a Creditors clerk for a 4-month maternity cover.  Your excellent organizational and administrative skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.  Can you prioritize tasks and work under pressure whilst still meeting commitments?  Can you work in a fast-paced environment?

Duties and responsibilities:

• Match creditor’s invoices, update creditors invoices, reconcile statements and communication with departments regarding invoices, within a branch.

• To accurately validate and process supplier invoices (PN) in the accounting systems in order to effect payment on time and accurately to Creditors
• Ensure invoices are properly authorized in accordance with levels of authority.
• Ensure batches are posted on a daily basis.
• Ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner.
• Sending Remittance Advices to supplier after completion of the Payment Run
• Filing of Invoices after Payment Run
• Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met.
• Provide accurate advice on billing queries.
• Respond promptly and accurately to billing queries both internally and externally.
• Accurately prepare Monthly reconciliations of Creditors Accounts Statements against the supplier detailed ledger and present for review by the 25^th of each month.
• Accruals: Ensure invoices not captured in the month are submitted to the financial manager in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all transactions are compliant with financial regulations.
• Proactive response to clearing queries with suppliers.
• Ensure supplier records are kept up to date.
• Perform duties within the code of conduct policy stipulated
• Completion of all necessary (verbal and written) reports.
• Must be willing to work extended hours when required, be available nights, weekends, holidays as required to meet department operational needs.
• Undertakes such other duties as maybe required from time to time.

Requirements

3 years relevant working experience

Qualification

Grade 12 or equivalent

MS Excel and Word

SAGE X3 ERP essential
