Creditors Clerk

SUMMARY:
Our client operating in the Financial Services industry is searching for an experienced candidate to fill the Creditors Clerk vacancy within their Johannesburg North based Finance team. If you have previous working experience in a similar Creditors Clerk and/or Bookkeeper position involving +/- R50 million book values, please apply!

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• National Diploma (NDip) specialising in Finance and/or Accounting
• Previous working experience within similar Creditors Clerk and/or Accounts Payable positions involving +/- R50 million book values
• Intermediate Sage X3 and Microsoft Excel software skills
• Valid Driver’s License is required

Job description & Skills:

• Engaging with external suppliers to ensure that queries regarding account payments are resolved
• Loading payments and/or new creditors onto the online banking system
• Overseeing the administration of Goods-Receipt/Invoice-Receipt (GR/IR) accounts to ensure efficient and effective management
• Conducting analyses and providing reports on Goods-Receipt/Invoice-Receipt (GR/IR) accounts
• Obtaining invoice signatures as required by the Authority matrix
• Obtaining required approvals from the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) approvals and ensuring renewal before expiration
• Recommending the appropriate settlement discounts and cost reduction opportunities
• Inputting supplier statements, supplier reconciliations, vendor management and executing payments
• Performing monthly supplier reconciliations for payments to approved suppliers
• Responding to and resolving all queries relating to payments including queries from creditors and staff
• Providing the monthly creditors age analyses for review
