Creditors Clerk (3 month FTC)

Red Ember is currently recruiting for an experienced Creditors Clerk.Â

Please note this is a Fixed Term 3-month contract.

This role is responsible for the processing of accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables data.

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• To request all statements and invoices from suppliers the first week of the month
• To ensure all verified and unprocessed invoices are cleared daily
• To ensure that the monthly “In-Flow” report spreadsheet for Creditor Suppliers is updated on a daily basis and when a new supplier account is opened
• Updating monthly cash flows and sending to accountant - weekly
• To ensure that invoices are processed and scanned daily within a 24hour turnaround
• If all invoices are accounted for then reconcile on Excel Spreadsheet OR if invoices are missing then go back and check if it is in the system or where it is lying for approval and follow-up
• To reconcile accounts based as per the payment run, 7th; 15th; 25th, and 30th of each month, take the supplier statements and reconcile (bi-monthly)
• Intercompany invoices / Payments - Deadline for Intercompany will always be the 1st of each month
• Ensure all intercompany invoices are balanced weekly and monthly reconciliations and payments are done and reported to the Creditors Manager
• Once reconciliation is done – it needs to be saved in order for the creditors manager to sign off
• Only once supplier payments are made e-mail and print remittances for the suppliers (last day of each month)
• On a monthly basis work through the Age–analysis and resolve queries
• When requested carry out other reasonable duties and responsibilities not specifically mentioned in the job description during the course and scope of employment
• Liaise with procurement department to keep supplier information up to date
  
  

Education and/or Experience

• Grade 12 – Matric Essential
• Bookkeeping Certificate desirable
• 3-5 years experience in a similar role
