SUMMARY:
Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Creditors Clerk

Stipend: R5,500

Location: Gauteng (Boksburg)

POSITION INFO:
About the role
To provide entry-level administrative support to the finance department by assisting with basic accounts payable (creditors) processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

Assist with capturing supplier invoices on internal systems.
File and maintain creditor documentation and records.
Assist with matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes.
Support basic reconciliations under supervision.
Follow up on missing or incorrect supplier documentation.
Assist with preparation of payment documentation.
General finance and administrative support.

Minimum Requirements

South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
Matric.
Basic numeracy and financial literacy.
Computer literacy (Excel, Word, email).

Advantageous

Accounting or Business Studies at school or college.
Studying or intending to study Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping.
Exposure to office or finance environments.

Key Competencies

Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to follow procedures.
Time management and organisation.
Willingness to learn finance processes.
