A pharmaceutical giant seeks an experienced Creditors Accountant to join their team. This position will be based in Johannesburg North.

A pharmaceutical giant seeks an experienced Creditors Accountant to join their team. This position will be based in Johannesburg North.

In this role, you will be responsible for capturing daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting and recording accounts payables data.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

Requesting supplier invoices and obtaining sign off on supplier invoices
Processing supplier invoice invoices into ledges
Preparation of supporting payment packs for review
Distribution of remittance advices and POPs
Preparation of monthly creditors recons
Filling of invoices and payments to supplier files
Assist in the audit of expense claims
Assist in completing new supplier application checklist and verification of new suppliers
Load new suppliers and payments
Supplier queries
Assist in processing of inter-company journals
Daily update of bank balances and compilation of daily bank recons
Assist in month-end drafting of journals for management review
Assist in external audit
Assist in compilation of supporting data for BBBEE verification
Processing GRVs for stock received

Education:
Relevant tertiary qualification in finance or accounting

Job Experience & Skills Required:
3 to 5 years' experience in an similar position
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is essential
Pastel knowledge essential
Financial acumen and business-savvy
Strong negotiation skills
Strong relationship building skills
Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
Team player
