Credit Risk Analyst

You will be working in the Risk & Analytics Department which is responsible for Credit Risk Strategy and Predictive Insights. Here you’ll have access to some of the best technology in the industry as well as exposure to a top class team who can share a wealth of knowledge and experience with you

The client works primarily with SAS Base / Enterprise Guide / Enterprise Miner and FICO’s Blaze Decision Optimizer.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for ad hoc analyses; feature engineering; data preparation; development of statistical models; strategy development; monitoring and tracking.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum requirement of a BCom / BBusSci / BSc Actuarial Science / BCom Investments or similar

At least 2 years’ experience in building, implementing and using statistical models

Experience conceptualizing, coding and implementing feature engineering

Experience working with large datasets and preparing data

SAS Base / Enterprise Guide programming experience

Experienced Microsoft Office user

Excellent analytical and numeric skills

High attention to detail driving a need for 100% accuracy

Able to manage effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced, error-free environment

Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills required

Ability to extract, validate, clean and prepare data for modelling and reporting

Ability to prepare well-structured, clear and concise deliverables, including presentations

Strong collaborative interpersonal skills – both with internal and external parties

High level of integrity and confidentiality

Ability to learn and to share findings with the team in a concise, clear manner

Experience using SAS Enterprise Miner, Python and Hadoop advantageous
