Credit Controller (Disabled)

SUMMARY:
The main purpose of the position is to take responsibility for the Full Credit Control Function

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 with relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting
• Good communication skills are required.
• Attention to detail o 3 + years’ experience in accounts payable environment.
• Microsoft office (including excel at intermediate level)
• SYSPRO experience
• Only SA Disabled persons will be considered

Duties:

Invoicing

• On-charges invoicing
• Intercompany invoicing
• Support to the rest of the Credit control team

Administration

• Place accounts to hold
• Daily bank split
• Daily banking allocations before 10 each morning
• Ensure receipts are accurately captured and deposit slips are pulled
• Splitting the credit notes sent from branches to relevant credit controller
• General filling
• Liaise with Legal departments for assistance on overdue customers
• Ensuring all adjustments journals are given to credit manager for processing

Prepare and check debit and credit notes for other branch

• Statements run monthly
• Monthly printing of journal accountant requests
• Ensure debtors are supplied with approved credit limits and payment terms
• Co-ordinate collections with sales
• Releasing of orders on term accounts
• Reconciling, reporting and analysis
• Monthly recons and resolving of claims and queries after month-end in the first week in the new month
• Liaise with customer for prompt payments
• Telephonic and emails communication to customers
• Deal with customers
• Follow up on overdue payments and communicate with credit manager
• Final demands send on all monthly overdue customers
• Liaise with finance on rebates
• Liaise with sales and customers on account statuses

Compliance

• Ensure month end transactions are processed timeously
• Checking of new Credit applications, ensuring forms are completed correctly and that supporting paperwork are correct
• Accurate and timeous processing of invoices in compliance with SARS regulations and in accordance with the company Policy & Procedures
