Location: Johannesburg

Position overview:

A global leader in the molecular diagnostics industry has a new opportunity available for a skilled Credit Controller for Africa. One will manage the credit control function for Africa.

Establishes and maintains the general accounting reporting and practices for the organization.

Compiles and analyses financial information to prepare and/or review necessary journal entries for properly stated ledgers and financial statements in accordance with regulations (e.g., GAAP), company policy and internal controls. Performs bookkeeping and account management duties including credit collection, accounts payable, cost accounting.

One will also support the Finance Manager and AR Collection activities, including month end, quarter end and year end tasks for one or more specific entities.

Qualifications and Experience needed:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related work experience working in a multinational environment
• 3 – 5 Year of experience in Credit Collection and AR Accounting within a multinational, global portfolio
• Previous Audit Firm experience required
• Fluent in English
• SAP  and Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus
• High Accuracy and Attention to Detail
• Professionalism and positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Sound organization capacity and ability to meet 100% of deadlines
• Ability to work in an International environment
