SUMMARY:
Credit Control Manager (AA/EE) based in Midrand, JHB

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• Managing a team of up to 20 Credit Controllers
• Collection targets are met to ensure correct debtor’s days
• Statements and recons are submitted to customers in accordance with our SOPs
• Relationships are developed with clients including client visits where necessary
• Communication with internal departments in order to maintain an accurate position on customer accounts
• Effective resolution of queries in order to facilitate payment
• Application of credit balances during the month according to remittance or as per management
• instruction
• Build and maintain customer relations with key customers
• Accurate Billing
• General Ledger management and control insofar as reconciling bank clearing accounts
• Ensure bad debt write offs are properly motivated
• Ensure correct credit control procedures are followed at times
• Identify training and development needs
• Performance management of team inclusive of identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
• Daily and monthly reporting

Must have requirements include:

• Matric
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification would be an advantage (Credit Management 3 and/or Degree or National
• Diploma in Financial/Management Accounting and/or Internal Auditing)
• Must have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience (inclusive of legal collections) managing: A team of 15-20 Credit Controllers
• Book value 25 million + 150000 to 200000 Accounts
• Must have own transport and a valid driver’s licence.
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office- Word, Excel, and Outlook), with Excel at an advanced level
• Must have knowledge of full function credit control and bookkeeping procedures
• Knowledge of accounts receivable, payable, and bank
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
