SUMMARY:
Credit Control Manager

POSITION INFO:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

 

  •  People Management

 

  • Manage a team of Credit Controllers;
  • Motivate and develop the team to ensure optimal performance;
  • Conduct performance reviews.

 

  • Credit Vetting

 

  • Determine appropriate Customer Credit limits;
  • Open new accounts timeously as set out in the Debtors Sales Policy;
  • Maintain credit limits and all master data;
  • Proactively manage Customer Credit Limits.

 

  • Collections

 

  • Collection of all due and overdue accounts;
  • Allocate all payments received timeously as per payment remittances;
Follow up on all short payments to identify and resolve any disputes
  • Queries

 

  • Block and unblock accounts;
  • Attend to all disputes and or queries timeously in order to ensure payments are received on due date;
  • Prepare and process all value credit notes as per the Debtors Sales Policy;
  • Administer the allocation / payment of Customer Rebates.

 

  • Administration

 

  • Prepare and process all DMI’s;
  • Handing over of all unpaid or slow paying Debtors;
  • Fax and e-mail copy Invoices, Statements and POD’s;
  • Printing and posting of all Monthly Statements;
  • Account reconciliations, including Debtors ageing, balancing of Debtors sub-ledger, reconciling of Bank Accounts, determining Settlement Discount provisions, performing all Rebates reconciliations, determining Bad Debt provisions and performing Debtors with credit balance reclassification;
  • Approving and administrating all incoming foreign receipts reflecting on Bank Statements.

 

  • Compliance & Audit

 

  • Assist Auditors and maintaining an up to date retention of records process, including Statements, Remittances, Invoices, Credit and Debit Notes, DMI’s, New Accounts documentation, Credit Assessments and Reviews, Rebates, Correspondence and Other.
