Red Ember Recruitment is actively recruiting Financial Interns (12 months fixed term contract) for a client based South of Johannesburg.

Main responsibilities

General duties

• Scrutinizing of Client applications for completeness
• Attend Credit bureau checks on all new and existing clients, owners and sureties.
• Attend to Anti-Money laundering “AML” searches on all new and existing customers.
• Complete the Anti-Money laundering Risk Rating on the AML Risk rating Tool.
• Complete Customer Due Diligence Reports for new customers and existing customers
• Capturing of Anti-money laundering rating (Low, Medium, and High) after sign-off on Refinitiv Website.
• Ensure all Credit bureau checks and “AML” searches are saved in the customer folder.
• Assisting Credit Administrators in obtaining FICA/ KYC documents.

Required education and experience

• Understanding of the FICA requirements for all new and existing clients.
• Understanding of Anti Money Laundering requirements for all new & existing clients.
• Working Experience with MS Office 365
• Understanding of different business legal entities and ownership.
• Understanding of financial statements.
