Credit Analyst (FTC 12 Months) (Financial Services)

Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal

Preference will be given to BBBEE candidates, due to BEE requirements.

A large financial services group in Durban seeks to appoint an experienced Credit Analyst on a 12-month FTC.

The Credit Analyst will assess credit worthiness of applicants (mortgage and other credit products) through undertaking detailed risk assessment analysis and ensure that procedures and decisions comply with credit policy, regulations, and best practice standards.

One will motivate and support decisions through the analysis of financial information such as bank statements, financial statements, and management accounts as well as provide quality service to internal customers and liaise with other stakeholders within the company. It is expected of the Credit Analyst to stay informed about the legal, compliance and market – risk-related issues involved in the approval of credit and provide regular feedback on the submission of loan applications to management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A completed Bachelor of Commerce Degree or relevant business degree.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Credit underwriting (mortgage lending).
