Country Supply Chain Specialist

SUMMARY:
Responsible for supporting the Country Supply Planner in tasks relating to execution of Demand Plans that will enable the Commercial Teams to meet Sales objectives in Region South Africa for portfolios in agriculture

POSITION INFO:

• Ensure Supply by executing replenishment plans that will ensure optimal inventory at DC level, at Customers and in channel (for direct shipments) on time in full in and aligned with the respective Sales /Supply plan strategy and production campaigns.
• Prepare Supply Plan based External Sales Forecast and co-ordinate the Supply Plan commitments/deliverables with Site Logistics to ensure secured supply according to Demand.
• Report weekly Product Availability to key stakeholders.
• Execute intercompany purchases/Stock Transfer orders for Finished Goods/ Seeds and co-ordinate deliveries with Imports Specialist for on time replenishment of local DCs
• Shortages: manage with CP RSM, and attend DAL with RC Demand Planner
• Provide feedback on spot orders – check ability to supply
• Follow up with teams to process SO’s to supplying plants.
• Local inventory management:
• Report out on KPI’s – including Inventory and Slow Movers and follow up on actions to reduce slow movers and minimize stock redundancies.
• Execute Material availability within SAP (PO processing, Delivery dates, Mode of transport) as agreed & negotiated between Country Supply Planning Managers & RSM’s Site /production Planners
• Coordinate buy-back orders (CP/ES) and returns (RC) from country DC to site
• Co-ordinate movement of Finished Goods between DC’s
• Preparation of inputs/outputs for Country Sales & Operational Executional Planning (S&OE) meetings and provide relevant feed back to stakeholders
• Provide relevant in - and output for Weekly S&OE (Short term) to facilitate increased agility and data based decision making.
• Complaint Management and Raising claims with our Insurance or relevant persons if consignments are damaged, short shipped or lost.
• Performed any other duties assigned by the line Manager.

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree in Supply chain management or logistics
• 5 years experience in supply chain environment
• Mandatory Computer Literacy with SAP Knowledge
• Experience in handling Seed and Agri-input chemicals is advantageous.
• People management skills.
