Basic Qualifications

Bachelor''s Degree
Fluency in English, French and any African language
8+ years of relevant experience in account management, business development, content licensing, or finance
8+ years of experience negotiating license and/or business development agreements
Deep understanding of Africa’s video content business and a broad circle of contacts
Prior extensive experience in sub-Saharan Africa (e.g., Francophone markets, South Africa, Nigeria, etc.) media & entertainment industry
Experience negotiating content licensing and/or business development agreements
Proven analytical and quantitative skills (e.g. ability to analyze and understand large data sets)
Experience converting insights into strategy and communicating complex ideas clearly and logically in written communication
Appetite for overseas challenges and curiosity in solving global problems, particularly in Africa

Preferred Qualifications

MBA is a plus
Knowledge of digital video landscape in Africa, including solid understanding of digital video distribution technologies
Ability to adapt to a quickly changing, fast-paced environment
You must be enthusiastic, enjoy working hard and getting things done, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
Excellent written communication and organizational skills
