Country Exports Specialist

SUMMARY:
Drive efficient export processes, preparing accurate documentation and ensuring communication with broker and collaboration with customs regulation, local authorities and local customs brokers to ensure set Service levels, lead times and costs are met.

POSITION INFO:

• Prepare, apply, process export (and direct expo rts) documents and communicate with broker on Customs clearance, Import permits and Certificates / Marine covers. Arrange carrier transportation for external sales and ICB orders
• Support Order fulfilment and transportation cycle in arranging for inspection and PVOC where required and ensuring timely loading- and tracking of both air and sea freight shipments.
• Processes Payment to customs authorities/regulatory bodies/Carriers, duties, other clearance and Broker fees as per statement to ensure comp liance then coordinate local customs inspection, clearance and onward forwarding to the desired DC or customer for direct shipments.
• Ensure exports are done as per the Imports and Exports standard Operating Procedures and maintain accurate Documents (Soft and Hard copy), Goods Inspection, Collection and Customer Receipt to support ISO, internal and other external audits.
• Update respective internal and external databases viz SAP for exports goods receipt and Logistics GRVs processing, CCO for HS Code authenticity, regulatory bodies for sending original documents as requested by the export customer.
• Coordinate with respective functions for Sample requests PO creation (before goods receipt), coordinate clearance and onward forwarding, provide status updates. Create shipment and claims files as well as filing all correspondence related to Import permits.
• Process all claims resulting from shortages or damages and assist with additional tasks as and when required
• Performed any other duties assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Supply chain management or a Business degree.
• 5 years experience in Supply chain, Imports and Exports Logistics, International Trade and Customs Compliance
• Mandatory Computer Literacy and Customs systems.
• Handling the Seed and Agri-input chemicals is advantageous.
• People management skills.
